Gamebreaking bug in bugenhagen's lab.

I just started playing this game and I got to the part in Cosmo Valley. I;m in the scene at Bugenhagen's lab (observatory?) and the game just refuses to continue. Did anyone experienced the same bug?. Is there any way around this?

I dont know but the FMV starts playing on the background while a texture is still displayed in the front and the models just dissapear. I recorded it here: https://youtu.be/6hBfk2KMzHo

Unfortunately I could not make it work. I watched the scene in youtube and the proceeded to edit the save file to skip right after the event so I did not lose any details.

i got the glitch because i played the pirated version of the game from thegamesdownload.com i was at the great glacier near the boss the glitch was
no sound controls
mixed up camera zoom in fast the boss pops up
so how to fix it

That FMV looks like the one for a later part of the game (don't want to spoil it). So it seems like it's calling the wrong FMV entirely, for whatever reason.

Get a legal copy of the game, for starters.

Probably you pirated the steam version then?. Mine comes from steam. I could have simply play my save in other version of the game now I think about it.

I faced the same bug, and it stayed like that for like 10 min, but after that, it just resumed playing.

Lucky you!. I left mine in idle for a hour or so and no luck T.T . I also tried with other solutions online like renaming the video in the game files to make it play a different one with no results. I did not find a easy way to import my save to the ps1 version or the android version so I just skiped the event alltoghether. Is just amazing that sqare enix still selling this game for +$10.
