Stuck in the Golden Saucer
I just completed the questline where you go on a date and then discover Cait Sith is a spy working for Shinra. After all of that, you get to leave... except, I can't. When I leave through the station tunnel it loads up the entrance area (with the GP save point, mascot, and woman) but I never come out of the tunnel. I've tried every key combination I can think of, but none of it works.

Please tell me I don't have to restart the game...

Oh, and the menu key is the only one that actually does anything (it brings up the menu)

Try reloading the game, if it persists then thats a new glitch spot and needs reported so they can get a patch going.

Oh, trust me, I did. The worst part is there's nowhere for me to save so I have to re-do everything from obtaining the keystone onward.

Try to verify integrity of files. Try turning off (NOT RESTART) PC and then unplug, hold power to cycle it out, and boot back on (pull battery if laptop). This can make sure RAM is cleared (restarts don't fully clear RAM always) which could sometimes cause weird bugs. Keep reloading and doing it if it is the basic black screen bug and eventually you should get past, hopefully. Assuming it is the simple black screen bug it might fail like 90% of the time and let you through 10%.

So here's the thing... the screen loads and I can see the girl, the mascot, and the tram. I can even access the menu. However, when I try to use any of the directional keys or even any other button, my character doesn't move. It just stays in the tunnel, out of sight.

Update: Tried logging in on my laptop. When I tried to leave the golden saucer AFTER getting the keystone, but before finding the tram is broken down, I ran into the same exact issue I was having on the PC.

At this point I can only suggest Googling. I've no idea regarding this type of bug. I've never seen it mentioned before and can't think of anything that would cause it.

Thing is, I'm not sure what I would be Googling for.

This seems to have worked. Just copied over the save file and... presto!

Fantastic. Enjoy the game. If you have any further questions feel free to ask.

Hi! This is not a solution but I went to config (On menu option, above PHS) and changed camera from Auto to Fixed and I popped up from the wrong corner lol but did make it out. The hand cursor showed me where I was
