Stuck at Great Glacier

Hi there!

I'm trying to complete this game, but I can't pass throgh Holzoff's cabin. Every single time I try to go straight on, he comes out of the cabin and he doesn't let me continue. Am I lacking any kind of item or something? I've checked SEVERAL walkthroughs but it seems nobody had this problem =(
