Playing with a PS3 controller ?
Hello,

I encounter the same problem for FF7 and 8, i just can use MotioninJoy to play fine with the PS3 controller. But, i only can move and use the joystick and not the directionnal keypad, and that's just horrible since it's really too sensible and fast, so i just wanna know, how the hell can i do to use my directionnal keypad instead of the left joystick?

Actually i can't enjoy those games since it's almost unplayable...

if you have an idea, please tell me :)

It sounds like inputmapper only works with ps4 controller, not ps3

Well, i installed inputmapper then what should i do? it recognize my ps3 controller fine but when i go in ff7 my directionnal keypad is not recognized and only the joystick works, like with motioninjoy...

The weird thing is that i can change touches in the square enix launcher, but still the keypad isn't recognized as touches, i can set every single touch but directionnal touches don't works.

OK i fixed the problem.

For the ones who have the same problem that's kinda tricky, you need to emulate your PS3 controller as a XBox controller first, THEN as a PS1 controller (works fine with MotionInJoy).

It should solve the problem.

Set in inputmapper every direction of the D-Pad into the same as the stick.

example: d-pad left = analog stick left
d-pad right = analog stick right

works fine for me.

with this method you dont need motioninjoy

edit: here a pic what its look like:

You just have to set it as a PS1 controller!

Yep but it didn't work in first place.
