Final Fantasy 7 There is no music.
So i just bot the game i go to play it. there is music in the opening cut scene. but after you get off the train that is when the music stops. everything else is fine just the music is not working. Can someone help me out with this.

Sorry, but there is no music with the steam version of FF7. They cut it to make it a smaller download. It's been one of the downsides of this port.

OK if there is no music in the steam ver why am i seeing game footage that has music in them. And i did some serching i cant find anything that says they removed the music. plus i went in the game folders and the music folder is still there. also i think there world be a big uproar about that becouse the music is the best part about the game. If they did do this then show me the proof show me a article or a forum post about becouse i cant find anything about it.

You sir are a lier i check file integrity it said 94 files faild to load then it reinstalled them. know guess what i have music. the same music that YOU said was not there becouse steam removed it. nice try troll.

They did change music between patches at one point.

So your saying they took the music out just to put it back in again? OK why was i not told this ? why did Judy Garland say that there was no music at all. why did he just say to check integrity that fix's the problume.

Because that never happened. What they changed with the rerelease was to move from midi music to compiled full tracks in the ogg format. Though, they did convert the PC midi sound (and didn't even use the best option) first and after one year (yes this game was released before it comes to steam) they manged it to fix that. More or less.

To your problem: The game has problems to detect the proper sound device. Check if no headphones or something other is plugged into your PC. Though a fix for this long term bug will come in December.
