Is anyone using a non Xbox One controller with Windows 10 that has it working?
http://joytokey.net/en/
I find it rarely has any problems, all it really does is make your controler an extension of your keyboard, once you get the keys mapped manually, keep your game on "mouse and keyboard" controls and it's flawless

It just uses the default keyboard mappings so you don't need to change anything.
The free upload site only lasts a week from now, but I can always put it back if anyone wants it later.
Soul Reaver 1 for example, it claims to have controller support, but simply activating the gamepad option sends the game into a button mashing frenzy, spinning camera constant attacking, the best part is, you don't even need a controller plugged in for that to happen.
FF7 in my experience just outright ignores any controler plugged into the PC. Does not matter if 360 or PS3/4 from the ones I tried.
Valve adding support to steam won't change the faults in the games themselves, unless Valves controller support is actually translating to keyboard inputs, it won't help with FF7.
It can do exactly that.
Edit: After looking through the options it looks like you need to enable xbox controller support in big picture mode.
360 Pad works just fine.
