For the ICE AREA refer to the post "Im stuck in the ICE area" that has all the hints and directions. Most important thing is to find the Diary + Key. Then you can progress to killing the dragon which gives you the ability to open the castle doors in the next area.. and then you get the signet.. which lets you go back and get past the Guards..
then its desert time.. and time for another maze.. like the snow area.. don't ya love those!
The desert area is pretty confusing.. but didn't take me as long as the ice area.. cause once you find the big set of hills/mountain.. follow it to the RIGHT.. eventually youll find your way up a ladder.. and back track all the way along the WEST/and south. TIl you fight some boss next to some statues and get Harkons sword. Then basically you just need to do the Fairy puzzle.. and she gives you something.. for this scorpion.. make your way to Green Valley/Desert Care -
The green Valley is just a little east and south of Desert Care. If you find yourself lost.. but next to a settlement like.. the Inn, or the Clown.. then use that POINT as a reference.. and go either East, West or South, North.. to find your next spot you need.
Example.. say your at the Inn.. but need green valley or Desert Care.. you can just run a "little" west of the Inn and youll run right into the Desert Care.. and green valley is right around the corner.
"After you have the Key Ann gives you"
(Green Valley) is just east of the South Entrance.. keep going east til you run into the mountain and some grass. Follow that south and to the east.. and youll see the door.
This place is pretty straight forward. Explore, get chests. No confusing stuff. Enemies can be pretty brutal sometimes. Make sure your always full HP cause some of them cast confusion and rape your AP. Good thing I stockpiled about 50 HP and AP potions from the Witch in the deep grotto. There cheaper then any other potion and they heal your AP or HP to full for half price.
Anyways.. if you are having trouble the end.. make your way up the first rope.. on the far right side.. once you have gone up one floor... just run all the way West.. and keep going west.. until you find the rope that goes down.. and then back up.. near the entrance.. youll be able to see where u first entered the mountain.. that rope going up on the far far west side.. is the ascent you need. Keep working your way all the way to the top... then youll come to a spot where u cant go up any more.. and there is a lot of rocks.. well if you didn't know you can walk past those rocks.. they are not blocking your path.. once you get to the cave/exit
youll know your in the right place.. cause the mountain will be ALL red/dark red... and a save crystal. Go south to get the Que/Fire Shield from the red tree. Which will be useful in the next fight/Labyrinth.
2 things here. Buy better gear, grab counter from the shield on the wall in the Pub and grab the other que Flame from the statue in the fighters guild place. Then give Harkons swords to him in the Pub.
Then goto arena. They say get the Gladiators outfit from the locked closet inside the fighters guild. Come back and start fighting.
Fight (spoilers)
1st - use counter and defend - easy
2nd - use will strike and heal when needed.
3rd - Counter +Enchant sword (then just use Will Strike) about 3-4 hits. Done.
4th - Counter + Enchant sword (then just will strike) 3-4 hits. Counter+Enchant sword does like 2-3 times the dmg then a normal "un-enchanted hit"
5-Same thing (Counter+Fire shield) no enchant sword this time. Just use Wave to defeat Pyros. but will strike works better when he is just normal. Goes down pretty fast. Just heal when you need to.
Arena over and your the champion!
Optional
(Garric leaves once you get the Airship) so my recommendations are to go collect ALL the ques for Garric. (Snow area, Desert Area, Earth cave, Deep Grotto, Carrallan)
optional (kill the dragon in Windirs castle) I did and im lvl 23 or 24. Just use will strike and heal when your low. I didn't cleanse the poison or use counter or use any other skills. I tried healing the poison.. but it just takes to long. Just us will strike and heal like every other 2 rounds. I have around 2300-2400 hp - it took about 5 minutes.. but its totally worth it. If you CANT beat him.. go to the right of the village and kill the monster next to the sign post.. that's also a good upgrade weapon wise.. I did that before ever entering the Desert. Either way those weapons are very good.
If you don't feel like collecting the ques til later then go grab the Airship and head to the skies!
After you finish with the Arena - go west through the mountain passage.. and make your way south. Rent the Boat and head back to the Ice area. That's My plan..
I will update more after I play later tonight or get back from taking my kids to school
Well this is an update after you get Garric in your party. So I went and grabbed all the ques I could while he was in my party and did some leveling in the Deep Grotto.
Ques -
1st - Same town u got Garric/Go search the pink cloud top left building
2nd - Airship cave/Garric
3rd - Alarath/Snow area/Garric
4th - Meldor "starting town" the cook in the Inn/Garric
5th - Deep grotto/Crimson wolf/Garric
6th - Cave before/Earth Labyrinth - green pot/Garric
7th - Desert Entrance - along the right side.. then go up the ladder/search the window/Garric
8th - Firemagnis Mountain - Go up the rope on the right.. then go all the way left.. search red thing/Garric
(that's it) also a good place to lvl is the deep grotto. Killing those Werewolves. I got Garric to lvl 20 and Arres to 28. Then head back to Airship Cave.. and grab the Artemis.
maybe that dragon might be easier for folks that could drop him solo.. or kill that monster in the snow area.. next to the signpost. I know that wep/Crimson Axe was better then anything I found or bought. Even the Diamond sword in the desert. Then the Dragon Axe from the dragon was even better.. by about 20-30 attack power.
I also went and killed that monster - west of Meldor.. Octos he drops a Diamond plate armor - but the gladitors armor from Carallan is way better. FYI
once you get to the end of the Airship Cave - you need to put in a code its 4355. I think you fight it inside Windirs Castle - to the West of the town where you met Garric.
I have read on the forums.. that Garric leaves the party for most of the game now.. for like 8-9 hours. "Sadface" all alone again! Don't ppl know he has been alone his whole life! living on the outskirts of town.. not even being able to be apart of anything! He better get Ann before this game ends.. cause in the 2nd Labyronia.. him and Ann are..??...???
The boss fight aint hard - Make sure you wear some Ice Resist stuff. There is a Frost Res medal that I used on Arres since he has better DMG at this point. There is also a heltmet from Carallan that has Ice/Lighting res. Other then that.. just use Ice shield.. and your good to go. Intentsify from garric and Def down shot. This boss goes down pretty fast using Will Strike.
Once your at the Air College, the investigation begins! Arres the detective at your service. Pick up your old friend Garric. He whispers at someone else.. on the 3r floor that wants to join! Bout time right?
ReAdiNg lots of rEaDiNg - Good lore and info. If you plan on playing Labyronia 2 which I played first these books will really explain a lot about the game and the how the world works
(Good info)
Some important books if you didn't pay attention or read. They give hints about the Frozen land and the Cult of the Thousand Evils which is directly related to Labyronia 2 LORE. Another important book to read is about the Spiral Pirates.. that talks about the Treasures in the Whirlpools. I always wondered what that Boat you can rent for 8,000g was for! One books gives hints about C Island.. where people come back stronger then ever! hmm experience! The last but not least book that's important.. gives hints about the Dwarven Treasure Vault inside the Fire Labyrinth
(Must READ)
Also the book on "Berithes weight gaining boots" hmm wonder what those are for! Southern Labyronia. This passage in the book is referring to Renegade Cavern SE of starting town Meldor. You will need this item in order to progress the wind labyrinth/temple.
Investigation
After talking to everyone! searching all the "hint" .. holes and ventilation ducts.. then report back to the 2 men on the first floor. They tell you to talk with Windir. Then Windir gives you the key to the generator room. Remember that rat hole! Well look on the other side of that.. and then remember if you talked with the stuffed doll/bunny.. it had "grit" on it.. then go down to the 2 men at the start of the castle.. tell them you think it was "Lily and Berline" the piano player..(I thought it would be the guy who eats a lot). Then the bunny gear who obviously is weird and her story is full of lies!
Now onto the Air Labyrinth... by guessing the right answer.. those culprits turn out to be monsters.. lets get going
(spoiler)
make sure you grab those boots from the Renegade lair.. like the book was telling you.. the "Weight gaining boots" you WILL need those in order to progress past the Air Labyrinth.
