Why buy this game?
This game actually looks like a realy poor rpg maker xp game. The mapping is horribly bad and even the fighting system looks like rpg maker standart combat. There seems to be nothing original exept the story which cant be that good, refering to the horrbily bad mapping.

I mean, there where times where i programmed my own rpg maker games and its not that difficult to learn to build good looking level.

And just to show you guys what i mean, i will post a link below, which will show you the possibilities of good mapping versus this ♥♥♥♥ right here.. And remember, there are dozents of free, good rpg maker games, which are way better programmed and made by rpg loving persons.

It's biggeset problem is combat. In the first half of the game you don't have any other party members. You can be killed quickly if you get hit with status conditions or if you wander somewhere that's too difficult.

Yes it uses stock RPG Maker assets but they aren't used carelessly.

i think it's because it's one of the better rpg maker game on steam and it has both achievements and trading cards. sure, there are better (free, even) rpg maker games out there, but most people won't play it if it's not on steam (or maybe they simply don't know about it). even if it's on steam, people will also have to consider the price and compared to other trash games with the same price, this game is obviously better than them.

i'm not saying that this game is bad; this game is good enough for the price. i can find better rpg maker games on other site, but it won't hurt to buy one or two on steam to make sure that rpg maker business is still going.

ps: there are other games with worse mappings on steam, actually.

I think the second half of Labroynia 1 is better than the first. Also I like Labroynia 2, but it helps to play Labroynia 1 first for the plot.

In my experience some acceptable low budget RPG Maker games include Chosen RPG, Storm of Spears, Sins of the Demon, Victim of Xen and Monster RPG 2. I think I prefer all of those to Labroynia 1.
