I had to place the AT bunker at the bottom right since it does a short work of just about anything, whether shielded or heavy armour. When the Captainbot sends Soldierbots to run ahead, most of your things in the middle section will miss them, so something very powerful near the end of the map needs to eliminate them all.
Reading your above instructions
it sounds like you want us to screen heavy marines (the red ones?) with sentinels (the yellow ones, yes?), i.e. with more marines.
In any case, marines can't stop the Assaultbots. That means I have to build other towers first to stop the first two waves of Assaultbots and then replace them with marines after that - which is always a waste of scrap.
I've tried to build the setups from these screenshots, but I kinda never get there:
If I work toward this from the start, one of the earlier waves comes through. If I counter the first waves with other towers and then try to copy these solutions, it's too expensive!
