Black Screen

What's up fellow steamers! So I downloaded Rift into my library, i startup rift, make a glyph account, and then i press play. I hear music and my mouse turns into the game's mouse style. But the screen is black and for the life of me i don't know what to do. Anything I can do to fix this? Btw, playing a laptop that I can play skyrim on medium settings. So does it have anything to do with my graphics hardware?

Rift still needs directX 9

Thanks but I fixed it. I just had to put it on high priority on in my task manager. I think i have that updated.
