There was an error downloading streaming updates. (Error #3300)
I get stuck on patch whenever this happens, as a result I cant play it. Do anyone here knows the solution? I tried looking it up and I cant seem to find the solution. Thanks =)

Ok, I had no troubles updating the game through steam.

I'd recommend a full new download, or using the Glyph installer directly from Rift's webpage

I just turned off my firewall and anti-virus completely and it worked! thank you =)

Ok I know i'm answering an old thread but this problem still exist now (11-2016). It's the only games i own in Steam with this problem !
I'm using 'Windows Firewall Control' and each time i launch Rift it create a program named 'GlyphDownloader.exe' in the temp directory...off course the firewall don't recognize it and ask for authorization... The simple problem of your 'GlyphDownloader.exe' is he don't try again to connect after a little timeout (while i authorize the program). It's less than 10 lines of codes to update your 'GlyphDownloader.exe'...:steamsad:
