can you play RIFT solo?

can i play the game solo until high levels? or do i need a constant party to kill bosses and stuff

Yes you can play solo. I am level 63 and only play solo unless I join instant adventure and others automatically join in. Chronicles has thus far been solo played by me also. I enjoy Rift because PVP is not forced on us like Archage.

yep, I play solo like in most of all mmo's (wow, gw2, aion)

I also mostly just play with myself a lot of the time. Level 33 so far.

and me at the moment level 36, i love to play alone, cause i'm an explorer and love to see what's behind that mountain :)

Often when I'm playing with myself I wish there were more dark tunnels to explore.

Kinda hard to judge when you have seen a maximum of 6 out of the +- 50 dungeons don't you think?

Maybe you actually mean if you can play it if you do not have friends that already play it? In that case definately... The looking for group system will put you in a group with 4 others so you can do the dungeon content (most fun imo). Also there are guilds for the 10-20 player raids and really it is not that commen for "friends" to be in those. A lot of players find a community inside Rift.

If you really WANT to play solo then it depends on what your goals are. If you want the best PVE (player versus environment gear) then the only path is 5 player dungeons >10/20 player raids. If you are a PVP (player vs player) then you really do not need others. And if you just want to explore , craft , find artifacts, go fishing, etc then you can also do that by yourself.
