Can't Select a Shard

I just downloaded the game and a DLC for some I can't select a shard to play on..Is this a common problem? Do I need to reinstall?

Don't reinstall! The shards are all offline atm(sadly). Its been so for a couple hours now. All we can do is wait until Trion fixes this problem.

Deepwood seems to be one of the least congested, but you can play any shard you like once you're in game. You should be around level 7 when you get done with the tutorial, and you could jump right into Instant Adventures shortly afterwards for some fast exp, gear, and leveling.

not being able to select a shard happened to me a few nights ago too, but now, I cannot run the Glyph launcher that allows me to play Rift. Is this s Glyph/Rift issue, or something wrong with Steam? Also, if it is wrong with Steam, is it a problem with a program or something else interferring with it on my computer? I tried using the help function and contact Steam, but I could not fidn anyway to get itno contact with an actual person that works at Steam, just a list of some issues that MIGHT be cuasing this to happen on my computer. Please, could someone help me? I already sent a help request to the Glyph/Rift people, but i am not sure if they can help or not, or if it is a Steam issue, like I Said before. Does anyone have any information on this?
