Companion Pet doesn't attack?
they should attack right? I've read somewhere you need the pet control skill.. where do I get this?

If you're talking about Mini pets they don't attack at all but are vanity items. Currently Rogue Ranger, Cleric Druid, Mage Necromancer and Elementalist, and Warrior Beastmaster can use mas level pets that are capable of attacking.

"Companion" pets don't attack, they are only for show.

Thats what I was thinking when I bought it, but then my pet had a buff saying does a certain amount of damage..weird, thanks though!

Mage and Rogue are the only ones that have pets that can attack, some vanity pets have a buff that will help with your overall dps, but they will never attack.

Incorrect, every class has a soul that has a combat pet.
