Glyph Launcher failing to function at all.
This is an issue my partner has been suffering, not me, which is odd as we both have the same setup. I have no trouble launching Glyph and starting up RIFT, but when my partner tries to launch Glyph through steam, it won't start. Like at all.

She had to resort to downloading the game seperately and running Glyph without Steam. Is there a way to resolve this? While It's not really an issue given she can run it now anyway, it's just rather annoying that she has to run it seperately from steam.

Oh, and before someone says it. She's already reinstalled Rift on steam once. Still wouldn't launch.

I had the same problem... I noticed that after the latest update, some DLL files in the Rift directory (SteamApps\common\Rift) had a size of 0 byte.

Try download the Glyph installer from http://www.riftgame.com (big "Download" button at the top), and as the installation directory choose <YOUR STEAM PATH>\SteamApps\common\RIFT

That fixed the problem for me

I just deleted the Glyph folder in SteamApps > common > Rift and that seemed to work. After I deleted it, all I did was relaunch the game from Steam and the normal client started, without Glyph.

i still son t can create my account

I'll have her give that one a try.

There's no Glyph folder. The program is part of the Rift installation.

For the record, there was a Glyph folder in my Rift installation directory, and I deleted it. And the game launched without it.

It might have been some kind of fluke, but that is what happened.

Didn't work for her. Just installed a Gyph folder into her Rift folder, which did ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

This is happening to me too

Were you able to resolve this? My Glyph doesn't launch at all, either. It prevents me from running any Glyph-based game, since starting e.g. RIFT directly causes an instant crash, too.
Mak Aug 23, 2014 @ 11:43am
Still no resolution, other than redownloading and using Glpyh outside of Steam, which removes the link to your steam account.

Mak i have had this problem and i have finally resolved it. You friends needs to download Direct X. It is trustworthy and is made by Microsoft.

...What are you smoking? Because I'd like some. Direct X is downloaded by Steam when you run a game for the first time.

I can't believe people are actually trying to still help you with Your problem when you've insulted people like that. You'd probably have a better response contacting Rift Support instead.

I'd reply like that when the posters reply is clearly copy pasta. Besides, if you think that's an insult, you've not been on Steam very long.
