Question about a Focus / Essence

I finally figured out how to use Planar Essences and such. But hopefully this question will make more sense to someone else than it does to me (grin).

I have a Focus which has 4 Lesser Slots and 1 Greater Slot. (Fortunately I've been saving the Essences hoping I'd eventually understand how to use them; or just sell them off if I turned out I couldn't). In any case... I know which lessers I want to use, but I have a couple of Greaters which I'm wondering about. Primarily... it's one called: Shrouded ShadeSource (Healing spells have a chance to increase your targets Spell / Attack Power by 16 for 20 seconds).

My question is: As a Necromancer does my Soul Purge spell, which I use to damage the enemy while simultaneously healing my pet, count has a healing spell? And if so, will this trigger the Planar Essence???

As always... So sorry for being long winded.

Well, i'd suggest to not worry about any greater essences, even as F2P player you're going to outlevel those pretty quick, and their effects aren't that great either.

Just get the account bound Focus for 7500 Planarite with 4 lesser and 2 greater slots from the Rift Store, in the Equipment/Focus section, and fill it with whatever lesser essences you can get your hands on.

And keep an eye out for seasonal events, you can get some decent essences from them too.

Thanx for the tip... I appreciate it. However, I'd still like to know if my Soul Purge is considered a healing spell... and if it would trigger this Essence.

F2P = free to play
or in Rift terms, without a running subscription, not being a patron.

And i'm sorry, but i can't really help you with the other question, i dropped the greater essences a long time ago from my focus. ;)
