F1 2016 [PC] keeps crashing
Hi can anyone help me solve this problem? The game works perfectly when starting up, intro and everything works as per normal but only when i get to the garage where the driver is sitting in the car with the timing screens, the whole F1 2016 closes itself. My nvidia geforce 960m driver is up to date and i have done everything i could find on the web but it still crashes at that particular scene

I got the same issue as well! The game will back to windows desktop! Another problem happens when I use the one-shot quali, the game will back to windows desktop after turn 1.
My PC specs are:
- i7-4720HQ
- GTX 950M 4 GB
- RAM 8 GB

Sounds like the common thread is you all have the laptop version of 900x series gtx cards. Have you tried rolling back to the last graphic driver rather than the newest? I've had that work in the past for other games where for whatever reason the latest release didn't mesh as well as one or two releases prior. If nothing else works, all of you should send in an offical bug report about it to codies. And it will likely be addressed in either the next game patch or the next gpu driver release, whichever needs to be altered to fix the issue as major game devs like codies work closely with gpu companys to fix that sort of stuff.

I also experience crashes with the new patch. After one or two laps the program crashes with error message "not enough memory". 8 Gig of RAM installed, at least 20% physical memory free at time of crash, but 100% of virtual memory in use. Win10, GTX660 on AS Rock Z87extreme4 mainboard.

If you are getting a not enough memory error try increasing the page file. 8 gigs isn't very much these days as 16 gigs is the standard, a larger page file can help make up the difference. Not sure how to do that with win10 though. I'm using win7 pro as it still is the best by far for gaming, I honestly cant remember the last time I had any game crash out.

Same crash issue with the same card. When I try to leave the pits I get an instant CTD, no errors or anything. The game ran fine before the last patch (up to race 7), now it is unplayable.

Edit: it also happens in other racing modes like time trail. Leave the pits (both flying lap and normal outlap) and I get an instant CTD.

I had exactly the same issue but with the addition of my G27 wheel working intermittantly in other racing games. At the moment all games are back to working normally with the exception of F1 2016 which now has the screen freeze every 5 minutes or so. Try downloading the program DRIVER PACK SOLUTIONS and running ONLINE CHECKER. I'm starting to think the issue is to do with old drivers still on the system. This FREE program will check your system for old drivers, remove them and install the updated versions. Before Codemasters September 4 'fix it' patch all my games were working well including F1 2016. Good luck guys.
