Qualifying with soft tyre in Q3, starting with supersoft the race ?
Looks like a bug to me, i qualify with soft tyre in Q3, got the closed park settings activated and yet i have to start the race with supersoft.
I can't even change it in the race strategy (which will be normal if my car was using the tyre i had while qualifying !).
Except maybe if when you get back to stand at the end of Q3 (before timer is out) the mechanics change you tyre without telling you ???

In real life, they start on the tire they used for their fasted lap in Q2. (This might be a recent rule change, I'm not entirely sure, I always thought it's Q3 tires, too)

I believe they added this to the game now.

sou start the race with whatever tyre you did your best time with in Q2

you get a set of the best availiable tyres for Q3 that are given back at the end of the session.

F1 tyre rules are weird af

Same problem with race strategy, if you end with "tons" of soft & hard tyre (because you skipped or use fewer in practice/qualifying), you ending up with strategy with 5 stop and minimum 4 stop !!!!
You can't delete more than 1 stop, looks like the tool need to be perfected !

Thanks for the info about tyre in qualify ! Seem to be a weird rule indeed. We should not see anymore driver trying to start race with one the hardest compound in the real F1 Race :/

It was done to increase the amount of running laps in Q3, to make for a better show for the folks at home. Before that teams were doing as few laps in Q3 as possible to keep their tyres for the race.

not if it was a wet qualifying and a dry race then the drivers can start on any of the dry tyre compounds
