F1 2016
You can change teams mid season? Whaaaat?
I just got a contract offer from Toro Rosso, Force India, Haas and my team that I started with as a first driver in the Manor. I didn't know this could happen :D this is great, I just changed teams mid season and I am in the force india and I am already earning more points on one race than I did in 4 races in the manor. I love it.
Edit: I am playing on Legend difficulty btw

It's not impossible for this to happen in real life, but the way contracts are made it's not really common. Unlike football, where contracts really have no meaning, other than selling players for high values.

This has been a goal of most F1 games from Codies... and looking back in history of F1 shows there can be opportunistic times for drivers to switch teams mid-season :F1helmet:

Yup, but that's a real exception. He went from a Red Bull team to the other Red Bull team.

They propably just gave him the A-team cockpit mid-season so other teams don't try to get him.

yeah, I play FIFA career manager mode as well and selling/buying players in the same season is natural as well as loosing players who don't want to renew their contracts. But in this case I went from the worst team in the game(well, with RnD it's the 3rd worst now) to a team who is currently 4th after Red bull in the RnD development. This is a great opportunity for me to actually get into a team that can grant me a championship victory and as of right now Ferrari is really pushing with their development, currently they are the same as the Mercedes. Only if I could get a contract offer from Ferrari next season, I think I would stay there for at least 4-5 seasons. I know that I could get the Force india up to the top but my goal is to get into the Ferrari :D

michael schumachers debut with jordan racing was so impressive it triggered another team poaching him (benetton i think) and a big court case over the move brought by eddie jordan. so yeah, its not unknown for a lower team to have drivers stolen mid season for a stellar performance - it just doesnt show you the legal moves to make it happen and compensation/court cases.
