Tyre Management Test
Hi guys! I'm using driving assists but there is only one problem that I couldn't figure out. How can I pass the Tyre test with driving assists? I'm always getting Heavy Tyre Wear and test is failed. Is there any trick?

Heey! I need help!

You need to drive more carefully, not thrash the tyres lap after lap. I haven't had a problem myself. Just because you use TC and ABS it doesn't mean you can rag the tyres and not get wear, you still have to drive smoothly. The only thing those two assists will help with is traction out of corners and not locking brakes into them.

I will research for the brakes again. So I'm using keyboard. :/ I guess it's problem for smooth drive.
Make sure that you are completely done braking by the time you start turning. Also once you pass the apex you should be back on the throttle. If you have Full TCS on it will keep you from spinning the tyres as you come out of the turn.

Oh, thank you very much sir! ^^

Darn, yeah, not easy being smooth etc. with keyboard.

If you lived closer to me and we were friends, I'd lend you a Thrustmaster FFB wheel.

With a keyboard you maybe have to tap the braking/accelerating buttons to simulate gently squeezing the pedals/triggers. Maybe the same for steering gently.

For optimal time you minimally brake to make the turn until the apex and then you apply maximum acceleration to exit the turn.
And the rule for longer tyre life is to brake earlier and softer towards the apex and accelerate later and softer from the apex. You coast the corners and you don't jerk around the steering wheel. And don't let the tyres get too cold or too hot.

what's really hitting the tyres hard is fully turning in and accelerating while turning in - try to brake and accelerate as much in a straight line as possible. that's what helped me (I'm on xbox controller). also you don't have to beat the target time by a second or more.. those are not qualifying laps - they are more meant to be consistent, smooth racing laps :)

The most important thing is that you dont brake and turn in at the same time.

Impossible on circuits like china and bahrain to always be braking/accelerating in a straight line. Plus the horrible steering on a pad means you end up tapping the stick to make slight adjustments as it barely registers a half moved stick at all. Coasting around the entire track to get green wear just ends up with you failing the time by 1 second+ (expert)

Just a stupid test, imo

Dosent Keyboard = full acceleration at all times where as a pedal you can slowly accell or decell that would make a diff on tyers i would think.

I get 100% purple wear with a gamepad with 5 to 7 seconds left on the lap times. So something must be wrong with your gamepad or it's calibration.

I think the tyre wear test will be much easier with a wheel. Simply because I find most of the tyre damage is done in high speed corners, where you are full throttle and full lock on the controller. I'm not really sure how to explain it, but I find the turning a little more difficult to controll at higher speeds.

It's a little more challenging, which is good.

It's easy to do with a wheel.
Not so easy with keyboard since you cant just half/quater turn. Even if you cant "physically" turn more the game reads it as you want to turn 100% max as far as the car can physically turn the wheel, so even at low speeds its forcing more then is needed in any situation. Which fights the force of the car and the aerodynamics increasing wear.

Best way around it is either use a controller, or get a wheel. Or just avoid the tyre wear tests.

I would suggest at least a controller for this game... I own a steering wheel but I feel like a controller does the trick having played with a xbox 360 gamepad for the longest time.
