I had the same/similar problem with F1 2015, my independent pedals (which appear as a standard game controller in Windows) had a 50% dead zone which I could not get rid of. This made it unplayable as neither the throttle or brake would register any movement until the pedal was at least half way down. I never managed to find a way to fix it.
Every other racing game I own works perfectly (including all of the previous F1 games prior to 2015). It should be fairly basic stuff mapping control assignments so I cannot understand how Codemasters have come up with a system that renders some standard input devices unusable.
I will try F1 2016 but if my pedals don't work I'll have to refund it unfortunately :-(
I don't have a G27 I have a DFGT. Therefore my profiler recognises the wheel as a DFGT without any pedals. I have a seperate USB cable from Ricmotech that plugs my G27 pedals into the PC :)
Therefore the pedals are recognised as a seperate games controller, infact F1 2016 even recognises them as G27 pedals. But for some reason it isn't letting me use any more than 50% travel. Another codemasters ♥♥♥♥ up. They work fine in Dirt Rally and every other racing game I've ever played including games from codemasters. Hell even Geoff Cramonds Grand Prix 4 will use them fine!
