Bugged audio sounds
not been in a race yet but just launched the game and the intro as well as all the menu sounds are bugged, extremely crackly, sped up and have a weird buzzing noise in the background.

just got into a race and its the same with the in-race sounds, makes it basically unplayable atm it's so annoying and distracting.

Should be an easy fix. All the preview builds I've seen on youtube didn't have that issue.

I have the same issue. Broken audio from other cars on the track. I think the weird buzzing noise is supposed to be the ERS, but it is really distracting.

As i mentioned in another Thread.
I have the same Problem. The Sound is crackling, distorted and is sped up.
The fix that worked for me is to set the Sampling rate of the Audio to 16bit/44kHz or 16bit/48khz. You need to do this in Windows.
I had mine set to 24bit/192kHz and the Audio was horrible.
F1 2016 is the only game/Program that has Problems with that sampling rate. Even F1 2015 does not have this Problem.

Nice, that seems to have fixed the issue for me too, thank you.

Wanted to write that I don't have this problem... and your solution explains why.. I have this set up like that for Rocksmith anyhow.
So I think that might be the fix you guys are looking for.

Any other ideas on how to fix this audio crackling when in a group of cars? Mine was at 96khz/24bit and I've tried changing it to 48khz/16bit and 44khz/16bit but I still have the problem. Video of the problem:

Yep thats exactly what I have. I have tried changing the sound frequency but it has little effect.Through my monitor the sound is terrible, if I use headphones it reduces the amount of audio crackling.

Hey,

Try setting your bitrate to 48kHz. We're looking into it
Crosb Aug 20, 2016 @ 8:33am
I have Astro A40's with a Mixamp and so cannot change the bitrate.
PuntoXII Aug 20, 2016 @ 12:03pm
even with the 48kHz setting it won't fix the AI sound.
