Will there be any ERS management at all?
Doesn't (shouldn't) have to be as complex as in Assetto Corsa, but if it's fully automatic, it sure sucks.

I don't think there will be any kind of ERS management. At least I have not seen it in any of the footage that's currently out there (and there's a lot lol).

Nope, not as yet. Maybe in F1 2017, well I hope so anyway.

I don't think the real life drivers have much input in ERS management when on track this season? IIRC, they have a dial that can affect how much energy is harvested under acceleration and breaking but they don't have the KERS button they had in past seasons. (Some teams still have an overtake button but this isnt the 120bhp KERS boost it used to be).

That may be true, but they definitely do more than nothing at all.

Every team has a couple of ERS presets for each track. One can hear on the radio when the race director tell the driver which mode to use, where to turn the switch in certain situations. The so called "overtake button" is some kind of a shortcut to harvest all the energy in a short period of time to aid overtaking. But they use it for defendig too, obviously.

F1 cars charge it up by coasting and as far as I know that is not in the game.

Project Cars has ers management... basically a bar that shows you how much you have left... and you can use that to "plan" your usage for the next straight instead of the current corner.
