You have video tutorials for the important parts of what a gamer has to know.
The interface is really easy and you can go to the options from the main menu.
There you can customize your wheel settings and choose the buttons you prefer for each action.
To accelerate, press the pedal on the right.
To brake, press the pedal on the left.
To turn right, turn your wheel clockwise.
To turn left, turn your wheel anti clockwise.
Sometimes it's the person, not the game to blame.
You didn't even answer the question about how to change to cockpit view.
Managed to find it after a while by scrolling further down on custom controls---once again not made obvious by having a scroll bar to the side to alert there was more options if you keep hitting down.
Seriously it is like game programmers just want to code the game and that is it, if they are going to force digital downloads minus the instruction booklets without dropping the price make an effort with the tutorials/instructions.
The first thing you should do when loading a new game is look through all the options, video and then controls before you start playing and set things up how you want them before jumping into play. It will avoid these issues in the future.
PS you can change the view in the pause menu, it's like right there in the options, you dont even have to go into keybinds..
I will give you an example of the type of things i'm mainly annoyed about. Main menu loads up and defaults to hand held controller option letters when none is connected, no scroll bar to show more options below the bottom option unless you keep hitting down, training modes so you can get used to controller combinations not just features of the game.(more referring to games like GTA etc etc)
G27 is a popular steering wheel at least on the main menu at first start up i couldn't even move the menu around with the control pad like 2012.(Controller worked fine in game so it was recognised) Default Steering settings feels crap and not 1:1---- for a mainstream steering wheel on a main stream yearly released game this should feel good at default with only minor fine tuning to the players preference.
I set the graphics options fine, i've played F1 2012 and that was not too bad. My main gripe is less effort is put in tutorials and instructions these days. Pushing digital downloads without in depth instructions, yet pay the same damn price on release to a packaged retail option (which i tried to purchse but could not locate in Australia)
The learning curve for new players in modern games is very high yet tutorials/instructions have gone backwards---shouldn't it be the opposite---the more complex a game the more instructions available relative to the complexity of the game.(i'm talking in general not F1)
You can map all the keyboard bindings which is easy enough but then expected to remember 50 differrent key or button combinations in games(in general) without practice through tutorials that pop up "hit XYZ now and you can use this feature or use this weapon" for every move or option available not just one or two.
For a mainstream year on year mass release game that is not as hard core as games like Project Cars and Assetto Corsa(which i play) the effort put into this game is not good enough.
Being able to play both those games at nice medium/high detail at 1600x1050 etc at 60-100FPS yet this game is struggling to average above 30FPS on the lowest settings is not good enough either.
Yes i know the game has min specs of a HD5870 i have an overclocked 5850 but this games min specs at the lowest resolution possible should still be easily playable.
If i didn't accidently keep hitting the cursor button down i would not have seen the option to adjust the cockpit view. (cockpit adjustment view should have its own isolated area and title)
Also why is it called "Advance" and not "Enter" to go into a menu, then having to hit escape to lock in a changed entry in the options when you should hit enter then a back button option should be available to go to a previous screen.
You didn't even answer the question....
Did you read my answer :

==> But I knew with the kind of comment you post that you wouldn't read this. That's why I made some ironic comment about the basic controls. And as I see now with your next comment, it seems you just want to cry like a kid about missing scroll bar or missing booklet. There is all tutorials you need in the game. The options screen give you all needed options to modify your buttons the way you want. And if the missing scroll bar is a problem. A missing brain is a problem too... You use DRS in the game ??? strange because the button is not shown without scrolling down in the customize control screen !!! However the next camera is directly available without scrolling down so I doubt you even made an effort to find it... Very strange... (Managed to find it after a while by scrolling further down on custom controls)
"Next Cam" is a silly title nevertheless, cockpit or racing view makes more sense.
There is a bug with the game where the thin scrolling bar does not always show up on pages where it needs to be shown, or pauses and doesn't move down(still happening as of 10mins ago), probaby due to the low graphics memory that is maxed out even on menu screens), along with a bug that it maxes out 1gig of memory just in the menu screen causing the game to crash due to a lack of memory during first loading screens---once again not good enough for a yearly title.
I guessed DRS from my own previous setup on F1 2012, i actually reversed it in that game as it was the right button not the left as default(from what i recall) i preferred on the left and had KERS on the right.(hope that answers your smart a$$ comment)
I've only had one lap in quick race mode as the poor coding of this game makes it almost impossible to play at the lowest resolution--- will have to update my card just to play this game.
I've played enough sim games to know how a menu system should be setup for beginners, let me guess you play all racing games with assists lol.
I cant access the menu 9 times out of 10 with the latest drivers for my card, it maxes out 1 gig of memory during the menu system load up---do you call that acceptable ram usage.
