Unless it is raining I try to get all the tests done in P1 to take the pressure off so:
Climitise on whatever tyres it recommends 1-3 laps
Qualifying test on the softest compound (your first 2 tyres are going to be handed back so if there is a soft there I will use it) 1-2 laps
If there is time the tyre deg test on the hardest compound tyres 8 laps
Then I run in P2 a full fuel hard tyre run so I can get use to running 10 laps back to back with a full tank.
Then P3 I alternate a few fast runs to get in for qualifying and a mid compound run mainly to run up the laps.
Maybe, not sure yet, I will end up doing only qualy+race.
P2- tyre management (2nd compound) + 3-5 laps
P3- tyre management (3rd compound) + qualifying pace
P2 - Tyre Management
P3 - Qualifying Pace and Quick Race Pace
All 175 ressource points gathered.
And of course if you don't want to do the whole career progression, simulating development with r&d tasks ect. you can just do the championship mode instead of career mode and simply immediately jump to quali skipping the practice sessions. That's why that option is there.
I'm on keyboard, so it's practically impossible for me.
You gotta keep a certain lap speed when testing wear.
And FYI for keyboard, I am between Master and Legend difficulties... I find it much more accurate than a steering wheel/pedals
