World Editor Can't Find Play the World?

I just bought the game here on a nostalgia kick and when I went to access the World Editor it says can't find Play the World installed. Does anybody know how to fix this? Thanks in advance.

Are you sure you're running the editor from Conquests folder? Also try running it under Admin rights if on Win Vista, 7 or 8. Also in 7 or 8 try to remove security limitations from Civ folder.

Same issue. I bought it specifically to use the map editor.

All I can suggest is try getting torrent edition and steal editor-relateted executables from there. Though it's all wierd - I've just re-checked and on Win10x64 the editor flies like a bird. Does the game itself run well for you?

You mean this? C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Sid Meier's Civilization III Complete\Conquests\Civ3\ConquestsEdit.exe

Play the world is not part of the Steam game. Not that there is anything there to begin with, as it is superseeded by Conquests.
