Any decent mods used in steam

Hi what are the good mods to use in steam? i like huge maps.

What are you looking for exactly? There are many epic mods like CCM, Anno Domini, Tides of Crimson that have huge map as an option. Or are you looking for a preset map, or are you looking for a custom scenario based on a big map like Age of Imperialism or WWII Global, or Storm Over Europe or Medieval Europe Mod?

lol i have no idea sorry what those are. I like the game and been playing these civ games for over 25 years. but just looking to see if there are any bigger maps out there as the standard huge maps are to small i think. Also the city limit of just over 500 is annoying also. i dont mind if the map is random or a preset type. the earth maps are daft as the resources are all stuck in same certain locations. so if you want oil you have very few options.

typically i like a game to just go on and on and build up and up more units then at some point have a massive war with various nations who are also strong.

Okay sounds like you want default rules? The mods I listed above have modified game settings and different game mechanics from the base game.

There are different sections in the download database but 100s of maps, from full earth maps, to specific sections like Europe, North America, Greece, Scandinavia etc as well as fantasy maps.

Its quite bigger than the default Huge. There's a 180x180 by Rhye here https://forums.civfanatics.com/threads/rhyes-earth-map-180x180.70634/ . Unfortunately the city limit is fairly hard-coded in the game. There was a community patch released to bypass this city limit, but you eventually run into the limit regardless as the game prevents it soon after 500 cities.
