anybody seeing this problem with Civi3? Only 1/4 of the game window is visiable

Is this your first running the game like this or you used to be able to play normally, and suddenly not?
If the first one, you may try this:

1. You first go into your game folder:
Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Sid Meier's Civilization III Complete\Conquests

2. open " conquests.ini "

3. Add words below and save .

Videmode=1600
Playintro=0

4. Right click " civ3conquest.exe " in the same folder, then " Preferences ", then " Compatibility " and click " Change high DPI settings " to open new tap .

5. Check the bottom, " Override high DPI scaling behavior. Scaling performed by: " and choose " Application ". Then click ok.

This should fix the screen.

How about those of us who've been playing for years, only to have this problem rear its ugly head? Anyone got a solution? Or should I try the approach above?

You have probably figured it out by now, but just in case someone else might wonder, the DPI settings is a must! Once that is configured, KeepRes=1 is optional (in case you prefer native screen resolution). Otherwise, add the KeepRes=1 without or with the VideoMode (it can either be 1024, 1152, 1280, 1600 or 1792).
