That size isnt big enough to satify me, that is why i am looking for a bigger world map.
Yeah i need to check with them and see if anything good there. Thank for the details.
The problem with super big maps is, there is a 512 city limit. On even the Civ-Content map Europe you can reach this limit. Some mods try and encourage big city spacing to compensate for bigger maps. There is a hacked exe that tries to bypass this city limit, but not sure if it can go that much higher.
Ah i didnt know that, well maybe i will stick with the defaults.
I went straight to the largest possible map, 360x360. I quickly found that, like the "speed of light" in universe, you just can't get across the map in a game. With standard settings, it can take 100 turns to get to the other side of the world, even in a ship. I fiddled with the editor, e.g. gave Lighthouse and Magellan's both the +1 and +2 movement speed, and gave Lighthouse trade-by-sea, increased road speed to 4, but half the map is unreachable.
Now, if you want to make a full custom ruleset, I would double the speed of everything. Instead of doing this, I dropped back from 360x360 to 320x320 and then 240x240, but kept the wonder ship speed and road speed improvements, and this was a good size for me.
Do you have the link for that map? Or already in the game??
Silly me, I enjoy a rather casual game.
