In detail, avoid his lasers by dashing at the last moment (when the area marker gets red) or keep your distance so that the lasers don’t reach you. In-between throw something at his eye so that one laser sentry drops. One sentry can easily be avoided the same way. Quickly dispose of the sentry, pick up its weapon and then attack the legs with the laser. The legs in the back are a bit tricky, because he quickly turns towards your direction when you come near him. Dashing and coming in from the side helps a bit, also equipping the dispenser tonic to make your rioters run faster. When you’ve reached a leg in the back, turn quickly into the leg’s direction (a bit blindly, because controls and camera angles suck) and just hammer the shoot button. You might get hit by the robot in the process accidentally, but it shouldn’t really harm your group size. With the 3 laser shots you should be able to hit at least 2 legs. Rinse and repeat until all legs are down to 1 point. For the next phases, like described above, try to destroy the legs in his back first. After each leg is destroyed he’ll get into a whirling frenzy, so immediately after you destroy a leg, try to get a large distance between yourself and the robot. When you’ve reached a safe distance, don’t move around too much, instead, wait until the robot actually whirls into your direction and dash away if you need to. With each destroyed leg, more laser sentries spawn (try to always dispose of them first, because it makes evading the beams altogether easier), and he additionally does the blue beam attack. Better wait the blue beam out, then attack the next leg in the pause. Especially the last 2 legs (which should be in the front) are bit of a hassle, because in the last stages things are really crowded and hectic. But if you’ve still got some rioters left, you can practically power rush and brute force the last leg. Nevertheless it’s annoying, and you need a bit of luck. I myself actually survived with only 1 rioter standing, because it really can get deadly (I went from 24 rioter to 7 in one second without seeing it).
That said, there definitely might be some better strategies or something I missed, I don’t know, and maybe there are also some better YouTube videos about it. But that’s how I did it.
