Dash - Ctrl
Primary weapon - Left arrow key
Sub weapon - Right arrow key
Special - Down arrow key
Hyper - Up arrow key
Shield - Shift
Strange? Yes, but it doesn't pain me and it doesn't trigger ghosting on my keyboard, so it works.
Movement: WSAD
Main Weapon: U
Sub Weapon: I
Dash: O
Special: P
Hyper: Left Shift
Shield: Space
It's pretty much the same buttons I use for BlazBlue (which I don't have ghosting issues with) except the addition of W and Left Shift.
Main shot: Q
Secondary shot: W
Special: E
Hyper: A
Shield: S
Dash: D
It's a translated EFZ/IaMP setup I got too used to, and now end up using for most games with a dedicated dash. Except Megaman X, because I'm too used to different buttons being shoot/jump for Megaman.
Ghosting is a undesirable effect that occurs on some keyboards when multiple keys (usually 3 or more) are pressed simultaneously. The latter key presses won't be registered, this is called "ghosting". For example, pressing I while holding O and P will fail on most keyboards.
Some keys have some a "anti-ghosting-protection". Modifier keys (shift, ctrl, alt) rarely will count toward ghosting. Arrow keys can also be resistant (but not necessarily).
Gaming keyboards usually have some anti-ghosting protection on commonly used keys like WASDF and arrow keys. Keyboards with "x-key rollover"garantee you can press any x number of keys before one of them fails.
If you're playing a fighting game (or any competitive game) on a keyboard it's imperative that you assure you will never be have to press a combination that won't be registered.
I have to say Space Detective's setup is very creative.
Dash - V
Primary - Z
Sub - X
Special - Left-Shift
Hyper - Left-Ctrl
Shield - C
That way, it feels the most like a bullet hell layout. The only issue is that Dash is really far out of the way.
Movement: WASD
Dash: Space
Primary: Right Arrow
Sub: Left Arrow
Special: Down Arrow
Hyper: Q
Shield: E
It feels better dashing with 'Space' to me though, but recently I really think to change and play with the keyboard instead xD
Suguri and Sora's default keyboard setup are just okay to me. I can't fit that I need to hold "A" and press other keys for special attacks in AOS.
Primary: J.
Secondary: K.
Dash: L.
Special: Left Shift.
Hyper: I.
Shield: Uh... U I guess?
Admittedly, I tend to miss the shield button, but apart from that this feels sorta natural to me. Having the special key on the left hand has always made sense to me, for some reason.
