Exploring the fortress will also unlock the new 300+ node Atlas Passive Tree, completely redesigned with new and powerful abilities.

The Masters of the Atlas are willing to teach you their skills, but only if you are willing to help them. Uncover powerful artefacts with Jado, hunt deadly monsters with Hilda, or cleanse the corruption with Doryani.

Atlas Masters act like Ascendancy classes for your Atlas Tree, allowing you to specialise further into what type of encounters you would like to face.

An ancient trickster god has been unleashed, spreading madness across Wraeclast. Do you dare to uncover his origins and confront your darkest fears?

The entity of Delirium, the Strange Voice, has grown stronger. Break the grand mirrors, encounter new dangers, face horrific enemies, and enter new realms that will test your sanity. Should you find the missing shard of his mirror, you may face the Trickster himself in his realm of madness.

The rewards are well worth overcoming your fears, use distilled emotions to craft jewels and find devastating new unique items to prepare you for what lies ahead within the fog.

The Hiveborn, grotesque creatures from a strange realm, seek to escape their world and overrun another. Ailith and the Keepers of the Flame have held them at bay, but their numbers are fading as the Hiveborn continue to grow, forcing Ailith to call on Exiles to take the fight to them.

The iconic Breach mechanic has received a major upgrade in this Content Update.

Aoife is a spirit, seeking a champion to aid her. The King in the Mists has stolen her body, and now her spirit is trapped in the Wildwood. She believes retrieving her body will free her. While helping Aoife, discover a different threat entirely - a threat more ancient, lurking in the darkness below.

Head into the Wildwood to accept the Rite of the Nameless, a series of endgame encounters, each more difficult than the last. Become the champion by completing them all, and perform the final ritual in the Wildwood to face Bodach, a new pinnacle boss that embodies darkness itself.

In this Content Update, we are introducing a new Path of Exile 2 League, the Runes of Aldur!

Meet Farrow, a rune enthusiast from eastern Ezomyr. Each rune Farrow finds unlocks crafting options and further uncovers the connection between Ezomyte and Kalguuran runecraft. With the help of the Kingsmarch crew, discover ancient Kalguuran treasures, secrets, and horrors - some familiar, others strange and horrifying.

• Find mysterious Remnants across Wraeclast and awaken their ancient magic by inscribing runic symbols on them. Fight undead monsters empowered by this magic, and break the Remnants to receive your rewards.
  
• Use the power of Remnants to unlock many new crafting options including Runes, Uniques, and more.
  
• Discover Verisium, a metal that can be used to craft Kalguuran items, giving a new defence, Runic Ward.
  
• Harness the power of Kalguuran Runecrafting to create Kalguuran Skills. Mix the magic systems of Wraeclast and Kalguur to devastating effect.
  
• Find Logbooks that reveal an entire ocean to explore, full of hidden secrets, dangerous new bosses, and dungeons with runes for even more crafting options.
  
• Investigate the crater of a fallen star, a meteor of pure Verisium, which you hope to forge objects of immense power from.... if you can defeat what you find there.

In the Runes of Aldur league, we're introducing the very first set of eight league challenges to Path of Exile 2. Completing them will grant you pieces of the exclusive Ezomyte Rune Master Armour Set.

In Return of the Ancients, we're adding the final Ascendancy Classes for the Huntress and the Monk.

Huntress: The Spiritwalker
Bearing a strong connection with nature, this class invokes the Spirit to her aid. Supported by the Wisps at her side, the Spiritwalker can tame Unique Beasts and even summon a spirit animal companion.

Monk: The Martial Artist
After decades of training, the Martial Artist has become a master of illusions. Empowered by the runes socketed into his body, this class creates powerful illusions, summons illusory bells to aid him, and excels at using his hands as weapons.

• There are 30 new maps to explore on the Atlas. From Maraketh deserts and snowy towns to lush gardens and lava-filled dungeons, each map features not only an impressive environment but also a new boss.
  
• Return of the Ancients adds 40 new Unique Items with incredible mechanics and powerful skills. We have also revised more than a dozen existing Unique Items.
  
• The campaign has been updated to make navigation through areas easier. Look out for cues that will guide you on where to go!
  
• We’re introducing a system that makes following build guides from community creators much easier. Simply download the build file you’d like to use, and it will appear in the game client, showing everything you need to create that build, including Passive Tree nodes, Ascendancy points, Skill Gems, and more.
  
• The Return of the Ancients features additional quality of life improvements, such as a search box on the Atlas and the ability to quickly check market prices for your items.
