My impressions of the game:
To be honest, I think I have some experience with World War II shooters. Over the course of my long gaming career, I’ve played several games with different styles within the genre: *Day of Defeat*, *Medal of Honor: Allied Assault*, *Call of Duty: United Offensive*, *Battlefield 1942*, *Heroes and Generals*, *Hell Let Loose*, and *Red Orchestra*, among others.
I think that’s plenty of examples to compare it to.

I was expecting a game with large maps where tanks, planes, and infantry all come into play. That’s what I was sold on, or maybe I missed something.
I imagined that to pull this off, the game would need its own unique features and distinct map zones where everyone could play their part, requiring good strategy and the grind of advancing through defensive positions while each player fulfills their role...

What I described above does NOT happen at all. This game is nothing like what I’m describing; it’s a PlayStation-style Call of Duty, but with a bunch of bots following you around.

The core of the game revolves around running around with submachine guns—it’s a nonstop submachine gun free-for-all. Vehicles and tanks are just piñatas that exist solely for players to stuff with 20 explosives, since every soldier can carry half a depot of ammunition on their person. There’s absolutely nowhere to use them as intended—in open spaces—since it’s all urban combat where you can barely see 50 meters ahead.
Map object destruction is practically nonexistent; you can throw a pack of dynamite at a bush, and it’ll ignore it like it’s a dog’s pee.

“Progression” is a marvel (sarcasm)—new players are going to be stuck with bolt-action rifles for the foreseeable future, much to the delight of veterans, who’ll mow them down with submachine guns and, while they’re at it, kill the four bots trailing behind with the same burst. In Tier 1, matchmaking tells you you’re playing against Tier 1 and 2, but it’s always Tier 2.
Plus, soldiers who’ve been upgraded through progression levels run like Usain Bolt. Try hitting them with a World War I shotgun—and on top of that, they can take more hits.

The security is terrible, and it's full of Chinese cheaters and the like, so good for anyone who likes to run around with a submachine gun.

In short, if you like the KILL-OR-BE-KILLED PLAYSTATION CALL OF DUTY, this is the game for you.
If, on the other hand, you’re not into running around like a headless chicken with a machine gun, there’s not much point in wasting your time on this Gaijin monstrosity. And even less reason to spend a single euro on it.
