Bonus adventure stuck (yarn)

I seem to be stuck in the bonus adventure. I collected 2/3 of the yarn with the magnifying glass. Now the hint is telling me to look under the telescope, but nothing is there.

I haven't used hints so I'm not sure why the hint is pointing there, but the third ball of yarn is here:

The first hint lead me there too, but if you try it again, it will show you the correct position.
