Thank you WB, you stupid *****!, you make some decisions easy.
I buy too many games, and am always looking for ways to trim my purchases, especially with bloated live-service games. Sometimes the corporate overlords make it easy.

WB owns some bomb-a** properties that I'm glad I have in my library. But they have started de-listing little gems like this, while pimping horrid live service games.

I won't do anything silly like uninstall my current WB games (I KNOW I can do a cooler run through the Batman trilogy!?).

But I can guarantee I will never buy another WB game. F**k their bean-counters that think it's smart to de-list a small, quirky, interesting game because it gets you a tax break.

You've also guaranteed that I'll think seriously about paying 100% for a Fire Face game, the FB'ing how badly you boinked the puppy.

At least you don't have to be alone, I'll also never buy another Ubisoft game either. At least they made good games at one point, you just bought them.
F**kers.
(ps, SR-BT, is no more than an interesting small game, but when I hear of a cool indie game getting de-listed for no reason other than accountants, it sets my undies on fire) :steamsad:

Yup. Along with Al Gore "inventing" the internet. We were all young and innocent once, but I choose to believe I was never that gullible. (although an old Bananarama poster might argue otherwise ) :steammocking:
edit: one of my goals this year is to get ALL of my digital library backed up to local external drives. I've got 6 tb full, probably another 10 to go, it will be worth it. Because if I paid for it, I own it. Period. FU in the neck with a chainsaw, WB

Funny thing about that. It's affecting more than just the gaming space. People have started to increase spending on vinyl and CDs once more. In the UK, that keeps going up each and every year. Physical media still has a very big space. Maybe not in the video game industry, but at least in music, it will still have a space.

(btw about digital music media Bandcamp pays artists more than Spotify does for one thousand plays)

Ya, but I was told if an artist removes their contents from Bandicamp, it also gets removed from your library...

I noticed adult swim was going downhill since ATnT bought it in the first place

If you paid for it, it should be yours in the original form forever. Paying for options/hi-def, etc, should be optional. If you paid for a Bandcamp or Spotify album, they should be yours permanently. Of course, I'll pay for extra tracks, or DLC, if warranted.

But having to pay twice for base content is evil, and Steam is complicit. I'll happily pay once for a game, album. or movie I want in my permanent collection. I'll pay again for good quality upgrades or DLC. What I won't do is pay twice for a game that I already paid full retail for.

Seriously, WTF?
(I no longer have the space to collect vinyl or DVD's, but my project this year is to get all of my (estimated) 30 Tb onto external HDD. I'm about 1/3 there.)

Not the same but Warner turned off the Mad Max servers two years ago, meaning an online component that was important to the game was cut off, and making it impossible to get all the achievements. Still a great game, but a bit more grindy now.

If you're going to bake online into your games, you should really think of an exit strategy when the bean counters tell you to turn off the servers.

Also, a tiny amount of music is being bought on Vinyl, by collectors. CD sales have been dropping for twenty years, year on year until a blip in the 2020s. CDs are not coming back in any meaningful way. The market for both is tiny compared to streaming. Spending in the Uk for streaming/digital purchases is about £2 billion. UK CD sales are about £130 million and Vinyl was about £180 million, and the main reason people are buying either is collectors editions.
