I'm super annored. I'm a new civ player that started with 5. I thought it would be cool to download civ 4 and play it but i can't find any mods. I feel dumb....are there no mods for civ 4???

i've never found a game where it is so hard to find a mod. so it's probably a me problem

Since Civ IV doesn't have a Steam Workshop, finding and installing mods takes a few more steps. CivFanatics is probably still the best place to get mods for it, and info on how to install them (https://forums.civfanatics.com/forums/civ4-modpacks.171/?order=view_count good place to start, sorted by most views to give an idea of popularity). Fall From Heaven II and Caveman2Cosmos for instance are great, showing how flexible the core of the game is.

You already got the help you need, but it is indeed the fact Civ IV has no Steam Workshop and all the mods for this game were hosted on sites like CivFanatics, although there are and were a lot of them. Although some of them I know are hard to find now because the file hosting sites no longer have them and the makers and owners never reshared them. This is the case for many Civs, like on V where you can go download for example Australia. Civ IV has this and many people added as many civs to it as V has now, but many of them are no longer being shared sadly for the reasons stated above.
