Can I play civ4 on mac?

I've a simple question: If I buy civ4 on steam, can I install in on a mac?
I'm aware that Steam puts an apple logo on store pages of games to show that they're compatible with mac but lack of that logo doesn't always mean the game can't be played on mac. I bought GTA San Andreas recently, it didn't have the apple logo on its store page but it was playable on mac. Likewise, civ4's steam store page doesn't have the apple logo. Is it still playable on mac?

No personal experience, but looked over 15 pages of thread and it seems to be playable on Mac.

The question should be, can I play it with OS-Catalina installed? I've had Civ IV on my Mac for years, but had to uninstall it when I updated to Catalina, and a reinstall doesn't seem to work. Anyone know any different?
