Hogs of War Remake

Hi We are currently looking at the possibility of developing an official "Hogs of War" remake, and are thinking of creating a KIckstarter project to part fund this. Would this be something that you as a fan of" Hogs of War" would be willing to support? We are just wanting to see what the level of interest will be.

Yes there is a new version in development, no firm date as of yet when it will be complete.

No, they're talking about the official team working on a "remaster" (although said remaster will be ground-up remad).

Some things are best left in the past. Too many games have been ruined just to sell remakes...

Also Rik Mayall is dead... so if you don't copy his sounds over, it's a dead game too.

The idea is interesting but I've seen enough bad remakes to know better. (especially regarding Sound in the remade games are never true to the originals, which kills most of the Nostalgia)

Having said all that... perhaps a SEQUEL would be of more interest...

If this game will be bad will only show when it is finished. I am optimistic that this game will be at least good enough to put in some joyful hours. :)

I found out about a Hogs of War (HoW) remake yesterday coming to PS4 from alternative software. I spoke with one of the guys from alternative software on facebook who said it is their aim to release hogs of war on PS4 I'm not sure about PC but i guess it's a possibility given this post by the developer. There is a guy on Youtube called pinstripe who has posted videos on the remake of HoW and it might be called Hogs of War: Reheated .

I'll definitely help fund the remake of this game! So many fond memories of it on PlayStation.

I fully support this idea. This was one of my favourite games as a child, I found it here in steam felt pretty excited, hit buy, but unfortunately I did not realise it was not the official game but rather a third party file which I would say okay if it runs but I know the details of the bugs in this file are not needed to be listed as I am sure everyone has encountered them. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if this was the same file I downloaded on a popular website that I will not name some 7 or 8 years ago, as it had all the exact same bugs that this file has!

Having a more official remake of the game (maintaining original graphics because that's part of the nostalgia!) would be amazing for this small but obvious community of hogs of war fans, so let us support and fund this project for this community!
