Xbox controller = Yes.

Even though the store page says "partial controller support"
It seems more like full because I've been using my Xbox 360 controller since the beginning of the game and have not encounter parts where I have to use my keyboard/mouse for a single bit :compa:

Indeed the game works flawlessly on my 360 controller :)

this game works with any controller (Z-Rotation axis supported) the worst thing that can happen is that you icons are weird if your controller is not xbox layout, but you can fix that. using a bit of modding.

After the restarting the computer it did :surprise:

Only thing with the ps4 that people need to be aware of is the bindings are not as shown so you will need to rebind them

"Partial Controller Support" means it either doesn't support Xinput (older games) or it doesn't support DirectInput (controllers without Z-axis triggers). In this case it's fully optimised for Xinput, and you can map a PS3 controller into Xinput with drivers

well no.
according to steam the full/partial is time based means with partial you may have to use the mouse/keyboard at times (like configuring the controller)
also this game does NOT use XInput. it just uses DirectInput but the sybols are directly linked to the dInput entities of the xbox controller I dont have an xbox controller but somebody may try this. set L2 and R2 on actions that arent conflicting each other (like camera down and camera left for example) then when you CAN do both of the actions (like on a continent) press both L2 and R2 is nothing (or almost nothing) happens while both are fully pressed at the same time it's clearly directInput because the x360 controller cannot differentiate between L2 and R2 is just sees the difference of the pressure of those 2 meaning pressing both with the same force results in no difference.
when you use an xinput wrapper it will most likely throw an xbox360 controller into your device list that fully operates like one when you look at the controller config (which shows the directinput entities).
you can also see this when you have a controller with more than 10 buttons or one that uses the z-rotation axis. since those dont are on the xbox controller you get generic icons for those.

....Im using a Logitec F310 and im using X Input and i have no problem...what are you even on about

most controllers that have xinput mode probably emit directinput at the same time, like the x360 controller, the xinput most probably means that the controller poses as an xbox controller and I have pure direct input controllers tested and I would see it if the game only had xinput.

well as I said you might try checking what happens if you use LT/RT at the same time on non-conflicting actions then we see the actual result.
