Controller Issue with Tekken 7
I've a problem with Tekken 7 with any Generic Game pad / Xbox Controller where the X button automatically hit both the X and the B, same with both the A or B. A clicks A and B together, and B clicks B and Y together.
The Problem is only with these 4 buttons and it's consistent with any controller that's not a ps4 controller , even my Fighting Stick is doing the same thing.
I really need help cause it's getting really frustrating.

Try disable Steam Input.
Xinput device works fine without Steam Input.

I tried Disabling the Steam input by forcing it "off" for this game, still same exact problem.
I tried removing my controller from devices on my pc and using only the steam inputs, still the same problem.
also I noticed that the problem exist as soon as a controller is detected by my PC as a Xbox 360 Controller.

Then check following 2 items.
1) Make sure "Windows Management Instrumentation" service is running.
SC6 has issue without the service. I think T7 could have same issue.
2) Back up somewhere and delete Input.ini file
C:\Users\{user_name}\AppData\Local\TekkenGame\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor\Input.ini
If this file got wrong info or duplicated definitions, it may cause duplicated input.
After launch if you are using, Xinput device and Steam Input is disabled the Input.ini file will be created with empty content.

My knowledge is limit above. Hopefully it would work.
If it does not work, I'd suggest contact Bandai Namco's support.

Unfortunately the above solutions did not work for me.
I submitted a ticket to BN's support and hopefully the issue could get resolved.

1)Did you check if you configured the button to press a+b?
2)It's tha pad ok with other games?

The Pad works fine with every other game that requires a pad.
and I did not configure the button to do a+b, in fact i tried to change controls in-game and i can assign either A or B to a to a kick action but not both.
So if i change in-game controls I will always have a kick action missing thus can't leave the "controller setup" option cause you have to assign the 4 buttons in order to play.

Resolved in my case. Am using Xbox family controller. In Steam settings, previously had "Xbox Configuration Support" and "Generic Controller Configuration Support" enabled. Disabled all support except "Xbox Configuration Support," and now working as intended.

I guess software was simultaneously viewing the one controller as a separate Xbox controller and generic controller...and also viewing the "two" as configured differently for no apparent reason? Should be able to enable configuration for multiple controller types without rendering the game unplayable. Big flaw. But, again, resolved for now.

I had a worse problem tho with my controller basically gettin a stroke lol letting me only press the b button occasionally and go crazy
fggn stupid but the trick only enabling Xbox config. supp (since I'm using one duh) fixed it.
Now my controller's working as intended, jeez :Puppetmon: :Piedmon: :Koromon:
