Xinput device works fine without Steam Input.
I tried removing my controller from devices on my pc and using only the steam inputs, still the same problem.
also I noticed that the problem exist as soon as a controller is detected by my PC as a Xbox 360 Controller.
1) Make sure "Windows Management Instrumentation" service is running.
SC6 has issue without the service. I think T7 could have same issue.
2) Back up somewhere and delete Input.ini file
C:\Users\{user_name}\AppData\Local\TekkenGame\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor\Input.ini
If this file got wrong info or duplicated definitions, it may cause duplicated input.
After launch if you are using, Xinput device and Steam Input is disabled the Input.ini file will be created with empty content.
My knowledge is limit above. Hopefully it would work.
If it does not work, I'd suggest contact Bandai Namco's support.
https://support.bandainamcoent.com/
I submitted a ticket to BN's support and hopefully the issue could get resolved.
2)It's tha pad ok with other games?
and I did not configure the button to do a+b, in fact i tried to change controls in-game and i can assign either A or B to a to a kick action but not both.
So if i change in-game controls I will always have a kick action missing thus can't leave the "controller setup" option cause you have to assign the 4 buttons in order to play.
I guess software was simultaneously viewing the one controller as a separate Xbox controller and generic controller...and also viewing the "two" as configured differently for no apparent reason? Should be able to enable configuration for multiple controller types without rendering the game unplayable. Big flaw. But, again, resolved for now.
holy duck bro, you saved me a whole lotta trouble
Thank you so much!
fggn stupid but the trick only enabling Xbox config. supp (since I'm using one duh) fixed it.
Now my controller's working as intended, jeez
