Tekken Most Hated Characters (Google Forms Survey)

Hello everybody!

I've seen a lot of "poll type" posts in the forums, but they're usually way too informal to gather any serious data. So, I thought I'd be fun to create one in a more proper way, that allowed to review the data and get some statistics.

It's done in 30 seconds: you just need to choose your 5 most hated characters to play against, and your rank (so we can have further data of which characters are more annoying for low/medium/high level players).

Everything is anonymous and you don't even have to log into your Google Account to answer.

I'll share the result as soon as there's enough participation rate (I guess a couple weeks will be enough), If the survey is successful, it could be a cool way to obtain info regarding different topics. I hope you guys find the idea interesting.

Hehe, true. Fortunately though, people don't seem to hate on the poor Xiaoyu as much as they used to. I have a feeling this is because Leroy and Fahkumram are now in the game :D

Aaaand you're actually being right (as just the data in the first day, 44 answers). Ling is getting some hate (around 20% of the players chose her), but Leroy is the king with +30% picks. Akuma is getting almost as much hate as Leroy, but only for players in red ranks and higher.
Glad to see the survey is getting such a high participation rate in just a day!

Are you spreading this around on Twitter, Reddit, Discords etc. too? Could definitely spread fast there, especially Twitter.

I realized when I sat down to respond that there's not many characters I dislike playing against. Almost every time I play, I face a character I otherwise don't see often, so there's a challenge to almost everyone that has more to do with a lack of knowledge than the characters themselves being particularly annoying. Well I guess it always comes down to a lack of knowledge, unless a character is OP like on-release Fahkumram & Leroy, but those two aren't even in my top 5.

Noctis takes the cake on the strength of how he completely changes the way you have to play, and how you just know when you get caught in his bs that the person on the other end is having lunch and filing their taxes at the same time, just barely putting in any effort.

well in my opinion i hated a character that i have to change my playstyle and is annoying not op like fakh or leroy, atleast when i play leroy i didnt really change my playstyle so it not really annoying. so first of is hwoarang, you know why right? its not like its hard its more like its frustrating to face hwo because you literally cant press a button. dont get me wrong i know i could just dickjab or interupt the string and i already lab hwo but its just boring at this point. every hwo matchup is just me doing the flowchart of how to beat hwo except when i play yoshi and i could flash that piece of ♥♥♥♥ infinite strings. second is xiaoyu, so many setup and well it may be fun to play xiaoyu but its frustrating on the other end. you can just usually punish things and you should be really careful. third is noctis, that range is really annoying and i cant play normally if it him. well i guess thats all, might be marduk but at least its ok playing against him overall if compared to those three.

Whorerang/Akuma/Julia would be my top 3, one wrong button and you're F****d
other mention would be Geese/Zafina/Ling (last 2 with their weird hurtboxes). while i'm guilty playing Leroy/F*hk(didn't main them anyway) for a time so I knew how to deal with them lmao

Kuni and Anna made my list. =( Anna probably just barely makes it on there tho, I should've gone with Leo or something.
