Dualshock + kbd
I'm Genbu Paul and I've noticed that there is no possibility to increase my rank without korean technique. How many weeks or months it took for your to train it in practice mode? I mean non-sloppy backdash but for characters with sway.
This question concerns only gamepad players because keyboard and stick are drastically easier.

b, b, d/b repeat. It's not hard.

Bro it's pretty easy to do a bdc with a sway character on pad, but to answer your question, it probably took around month and a half or two, to do decent bdc with sway character

No, if it were b db b db, you wouldn't get a backdash. It's b,b,db,b,b,db...
You cancel the backdash (b,b) with crouch

you dont have to double tap b after the initial backdash
if u hold d/b u let go of it and press b once, the b from d/b is considered the first b already.
u prob. dont hold d/b thats why u need a b, b

check anakin at 5:08

so again it should look like this

initial bb, d/b (hold), let go of d/b, b (once) > d/b (hold), let go of d/b, b (once) and so on.

I am a Mishima scrub who does reverse wavedash to backdash. I can never play back sway characters effectively.

Yes. They just slowly back away with just b.

Lmao

It's just that what you initially typed out ( b, d/b, > b, d/b, >) is confusing for beginners and it won't be a backdash if they copy it.

You release d when holding db to get b and tap b again.

He is right you know. I have met a TGP asuka in ranked who couldnt KBD. She just backdashed normally. If you have timing and a suitable playstyle (very defensive or very offensive) you can get there 100%.

Of course its not optimal but there is no solid wall which you can't get through.
