TEKKEN 7

TEKKEN 7

For those who say Jin isn't cheap
This dude is a punk. Hes the quintessential hero character. One single combo at the start can easily carry you straight to the wall. He has good mix-ups good damage and the proof in the pudding is how they have had to give Kaz a complete moveset update for T8. If they had left him with exactly the same move set as T7 he wouldn't have been a believable boss/rival to JIN.

I mean i know Harada loves JIN and hates Kazuya and has done since he took over Tekken, but in this game he is easily one of the cheapest characters. Sort of a Ken for Tekken i guess.

Also glad that Kazuya actually looks like hes going to have some actual solid options in T8.

Jin has apparently got an entire complete moveset remake in T8 too.

That being said, Jin is definitely overtuned in right hands.

2,1,/4 is actually insane alone.

F4, Db4, D4, B2,1 etc.

He is still more fun to fight than 50/50 Hellsweep Kaz Vortex mash though which is just boring at any rank.

I dunno if Jin is Cheap or not
ิsince i can't do Jin's electric consistently

ิbut if we talk about game plan, he have answer for every situation
and can do everything at decent level
good mixup
good range
good Oki
good CH
good damage
has safe launcher

compare to gimmicky characters that ppl complain about
they are either
- very linear
or
- very risk
or
- poor mixup (Fake mixup)
or
- poor fundamental tools
or
- poor range
or
- all above combined

You think Jin has good oki?
when u play vs jin just use grab to switch sides and then most jin players wont be able to do electric or wavedash well and will desperately try to grab you to switch back

I get Kaz can be boring to face, especially after about 7 in a row. But you gotta see how hard high-level Kaz gameplay is to execute. Kaz requires space to be effective. Look at the noob characters like Howarang or Paul or Jin who have or id even say, Lee. They all have really good damage and apart from Paul definitely have great pressure and mixups.

If I play against Hoarang for example, i literally have to back up or spend 90% of the match blocking and using counters (which Kaz is great for). But here's the thing. Kaz is very good to use against low-skilled players, but once someone figures out his usual moves and combos, it becomes very difficult be effective with him.

MMSWE says it best, Kaz players will lose 20 matches to get that one win. The stats don't lie, he has a very low win % compared to a lot of other characters online.

Jin is definitely top 10 if not top 5 but hes also got one of the worst win/loss rates. Take that as you will. Kazuya has the same problem but a bad kazuya player is one of the easiest characters to beat. Jin is actually busted.

Jin has a much lower win rate than Kaz.

Does that mean he has to work harder?
