Singleplayer / offline content

Hi, I'm thinking about buying this game but I have no interests in online.
Does this game have offline / singleplayer content (I'm thinking about Arcade and VS ghost mode like in 6 and Tag Tournament 2) or is everything online?

There is arcade mode, treasure battle and story mode.

You can play offline just fine, but.. I haven't played or have seen gameplays of Tag Tournament 2, so I can't provide any comparison between those two.

The offline content is lacking. The story mode is decent, but it's very limited plus the 'character episodes' are 1 fight and they are meh.

Arcade mode is now only 4 fights(?) instead of 8, plus there is no 'story' ending for any of it. You just win.

Treasure battle is fun for a while, it ranks your characters from 9th Kyu all the way to Tekken God Omega. You unlock outfits and stuff for your character customisation there too.

The practice mode is good if you want to learn/perfect combos.

I personally wouldn't buy it outside of a sale if you just want to play offline and this is coming from someone who only plays offline, unless it's vs friends.

There is a good sale rn on the definitive edition so that's why I'm considering buying it.

Treasure battle is nice, I've basically only played treasure battle and I've had a nice time learning characters.

i mostly play it offline. think i played maybe a hour online. and then another hour or 2 with remote play together with a friend over steam.
the rest i've played offline.
treasure mode and customization is fun. still allot left to unlock about 30 hours of playtime.
and then there's bowling. lmao
so if you want like 30 hours of fun offline and or more then go for it.
i think it's worth it with the current sale! :)

I had satellite when it came out so I couldn't go online for several months after I got it...it was a blast but the AI doesn't get good. Grinded items and made some fun costumes. Only the final rank is a challenge to get in Treasure Battle, and that didn't exist back then so I still don't have it cuz switched to online long ago.

Tekken 7 was made for online competition and neglected the offline mode. Which is a pity, because Street Fighter 5 was made for online competition too, but the expansions brought a great arcade and survival mode.

Tekken 7 has a fine main story despite the huge focus on Akuma (no matter how popular, a guest is not part of the main roster). The arcade mode only has 5 fights and no endings, instead you only have ONE fight and a short film to see the basic characters' personal stories. DLC characters don't even have stories at all. Tekken Tag 2 is not canon but has longer arcade with more relevant endings.

I'm more offline than online player too, so that disappointed me. But I already have friends to play with so I got used to online. It's not my favourite Tekken like 3 and 5, but it's fun.

Only really worth it on its current sale otherwise I’d wait for the next tekken. This game is primarily focused on online play and everything else is very much an afterthought. Spent thousands of hours between 5 and TTT2’s ghost and arcade battles and well, you can see the time I have on 7… 16 hours… but unfortunately unless you wanna emulate you don’t have any other option. 😂
