Infinite Black Loading Screen after "Press any button to play"
From day 1 after I bought the game this has always happened, rebooting my PC used to be the only thing that made it work, but now not even that is getting the job done and I can't play the game!

I have also tried:

- Verifying game cache files
- Reinstalling the game
- Running as administrator
- Running the game with Steam both Online and Offline
- Unplugging Xbox 360 controller
- Unplugging Mouse and Keyboard (and no, my keyboard is not Corsair)

Also: All Drivers are Updated and NO I don't have any mods installed

I can't even try to switch from Fullscreen to Borderless/Windowed because despite me editing "GameUserSettings", whenever I open the game it simply resets the file to default and erases all the changes I made...Steam Launch Settings was also useless...

I'm basically out of hope...I know others have had this problem as well, so any of you know about any new ideas on how to fix this?

Crash after title screen is almost always corrupt saves. You gotta delete save files and disable steam cloud to get a fresh start. After the game has successfully saved you can turn cloud back on.

It's not crashing...there's no "error", no "not responding" tab...the game process is "fine"...it's just infinitely loading

Plus like I said, there has been plenty of times it has done the exact same thing with the same save I have and still worked after it...

if it was my save that was corrupted I would've not gotten past the 2h playtime mark

PS: Still tried out of desperation and got the same result

Have you tried moving the game to another drive?

Unfortunately yes, in fact I did that a few hours ago...uninstalled and installed it in a different hd and it's still stuck

Confirm whether RAM misconfiguration:
- In BIOS, does RAM clock speed match the speed listed on your RAM spec?
- Look for BCLK(base clock) in the BIOS, is it higher than 100? If so, reset to 100.

Check unfamiliar services:
- Open msconfig -> services tab -> "Hide all microsoft services"
Try troubleshooting with this and disabling things you don't recognise or think could conflict.

Try disabling Steam Overlay too in the game properties, just in case.

!!!YOU'RE MY HERO 4 LIFE!!!

So...the RAM and BCLK were fine and Steam Overlay was disabled already (forgot to mention it)

The msconfig is what solved it, there is definitely something in there that's causing a conflict, I basically disabled everything (except the Steam Client Service), rebooted it and IT WORKED.

THANK YOU SO MUCH...I was about to consider the game as 500 bucks down the drain

------------------

Now I'll have to do the annoying part which is to single out exactly what is conflicting with it and that will take A LOT of reboots...

IF you don't mind, may I list the things that are in my msconfig and you just tell me which ones you believe I should prioritize disabling!? like, the ones you think are the most likely to be the cause of the conflict...

if you don't got the time IT'S COOL...I'm already above and beyond grateful...I'm just not savy enough to decern which one of those should be my main targets...and I'd appreciate some help

So here's the list:

- Adobe Acrobat Update Service
- BattleEye Service
- CCleaner Performance Optimizer Service
- CortexLauncherService
- Dashlane Upgrade Service
- EasyAntiCheat
- Epic Online Services
- Google Chrome Elevation Service
- Google Update Service
- Intel (R) Capability Licensing Service TCP IP Interface
- Intel (R) TPM Provisioning Service
- Intel (R) Dynamic Application Loader Host Interfact Service
- Intel (R) Management and Secutiry Application Local Management Service
- Intel (R) Management Engine WMI Provider Registration
- Intel (R) Storage Middleware Service
- LicCtrl Service
- NVIDIA Display Container LS
- NVIDIA LocalSystem Container
- NVIDIA NetworkService Container
- NVIDIA Telemetry Container
- Origin Client Service
- Origin Web Helper Service
- Overwolf Updater Windows SCM
- ProtonVPN Service
- ProtonVPN WireGuard
- Quick Acces Service
- Razer Central Service
- Razer Game Manager 3
- Realtek Audio Universal Service
- Rockstar Game Library Service
- User Experience Improvement Program

AGAIN...if you don't got the time...IT'S COOL...and THANK YOU SO MUCH for giving me the solution to my problem!

Eyyy Jah guide, good to hear :D I genuinely wonder which service it was. Damn, I can’t believe you did all of those things without trying that.

Honestly i’d keep all of those disabled except for:

Realtek Audio Universal Service
Rockstar Game Library Service
Nvidia display container LS
Origin Client, Origin Webhelper
Easyanticheat
BattleEye
maybe the Razer stuff (personally if youre only using it for RGB I recommend OpenRGB instead)

All intel and google stuff is badness and should remain off.

CCleaner performance thingy catches my eye particularly as bad.

Well the reason I didn't try the msconfig is because this is the first time in my life I needed to use it, in almost 2 decades of using PCs I never had problems that required it to be fixed...so before this I actually didn't even know it existed xD

I did follow your tips and disabled everything besides the stuff you listed and thankfully Tekken is still working

But I am also still curious to know which service is the problem, so later when I have some free time I'll try to pin it down, if I figure it out I'll leave a comment here just in case someone else with the same problem as me stumbles upon this discussion

and once again...thanks a lot for everything you've done mate

If you ran the CC cleaner while the service got interrupted you might get errors.. its not "safe" to use a registry cleaner software mostly because its like trying to save a game while a power outage comes out of nowhere. If you have undervotage issues then that could mess things up as they clean save ect.
