Controller Bug – Logitech F710 - Help Needed
Bug summary :-
Key 1 and 2 (Green A and Red B) is giving constant press input without being pressed only when i am using Logitech F710 controllers.

How I came to this conclusion :-
My Logitech F710 wireless controller started acting weird, punch input would lead to grab and kick input was doing stance change. First thought that came to me was that it must be hardware issue with the controller. So I changed the controller (I had another Logitech F710) but even the second controller acted the same way. Then I started practice mode in Tekken and found that game was getting a constant press input for key 1 and 2. I checked the same controllers in other games and they were working fine. I also checked the controllers using the Test option in Windows Controller Properties. Controllers were working fine, there was no constant press input for key 1 and 2.

Bug seems to be limited to Logitech F710 :-
Upon using generic wired USB controllers I found that they were working fine in Tekken 7.

Probable Causes :-
1. There were some small game update patches, they might have introduced this bug because Logitech F710 worked fine earlier.

2. Around same time I had moved my game files from C drive SSD to D drive HDD. I thought this might have caused some file system issues. But since then I have checked the files using Verify integrity of game files option in steam and found no error. I have also uninstalled the game and reinstalled it twice now but the issue remains.

System Information :-
Inspiron 15 7000 Gaming Laptop
Intel i7 7700Hq
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Ti
TCL 55” 4K Android TV as primary display (Laptop is wall mounted)

Is there an official way to report bugs ?

I would be very thankful if someone can help me with this. Provide a solution so that I may be able to use my Logitech F710 controllers back again.

I used to have F710, but I gave away to my parents as I did not use.
It has Xinput support and Dinput support by small switch. It shows X and D.

I wonder you or someone change to Dinput.

For Tekken 7, it's better to select Xinput and disable Steam Input.

If you have issue still, you may need to reset input.ini file.

==
Back up (important) and remove following file or remove device entries:
%LOCALAPPDATA%\Tekken7\Saved\Config\WindowsNoEditor\Input.ini
When game launch with XInput device and Steam Input is disabled, new file (Input.ini) will be created with empty contents.
If this file has wrong settings, it could cause duplicated input.

I dont like using wireless gamepad. It ruins the online experience. I highly recommend wired. I use wired Logitech gamepad. Never had any issues. Plus wireless gamepad lags the match, right Dan?

The little switch input toggle is towards X, So I am using Xinput. As per your suggestion I did remove input.ini file from the directory you told and launched the game. New input.ini file is created but the issue is not solved.

How do I disable Steam Input ? I looked it in controller section of steam settings but couldn't find any option to disable Steam Input.

And thanks for replying.

I haven't had any issue with my wireless logitech controller for almost 2 years now. I guess I am not pro enough to detect the lag. LOL

It does lag when there is an something/someone between the receiver and controller. But I usually keep it within 5 feets and in direct line of sight from the receiver.

To disable Steam Input, you can right click on Tekken 7 in Steam Client Library view. And select Properties > Controller (or similar).

Hopefully it will work.
But if it does not work, following "troubleshooting" section of my guide may help.
It is for SC6, but T7 use similar component.

"Windows Management Instrumentation" was tricky one for me.

Another case can be F710 may need to use Steam Input and map buttons. But I'm not really sure.
