It's hard to when I get 0-3 and I feel like I can't even stand a chance. and I don't want to spend all day sitting in a training room wishing one day I'll be blessed to be allowed to play with the big boys. I want to find someone that is the same skill level as me and fight knowing I stand a chance and haven't lost just because of experience difference
Online you will rarely find complete mashers, even the worst players have a basic understanding of the game, if you go online and expect to win you're in for a bad ride, but if you're ready to learn then there's a lot to enjoy in tekken.
As ARTSQ said a player with 1000 victories still in silver/blue ranks has the same (if not worse) skills than you, no amount of experience will cover his lack of knowledge/skills.
You don't sit in a training room and wish. You train.
I want to learn and I am trying. But give me someone at my skill level to apply my new lessons and not get an L because I am on lesson 5 and the guy I am fighting is on lesson 500
I've played ranked a lot. But when I want just to have some fun without risk of being demoted from my hard-earned rank just because I've slept about 3 hours today - I go quick. Or when I learn a new char. Or just trying to recall moves from old one I haven't play for some time. Or want to find someone much higher level than I do to learn something and check my own level not limited by same rank.
So far it seems like you have no respect to anyone at all - you just like to brag about how important, brave and powerfull you are.
On the other hand, we have all those ranked players who's aftraid for their rank so much they will never risk to make a first move, try to poke in neutral games and etc. Should we respect them? Or disrespect them? That's kinda cowardness too, you know.
Seriously, there are only 2 kinds of people in this game who I would disrespect: boosters aka "play rematch only until you're winning" and those who's doing KI-charges after each victory. Well, maybe some of Noctis mains as well :) All others - hell, until they are having fun and not really obstructing others progression and fun, let them be.
I have probably played a lot more unranked matches than raked but not because I am coward but I am the type of player who just stresses too much about looking at these tokens and win loss stats while going back and forth between ranks. I just wanna play without "consequences" while keep my "well earned" ranks.
I play ranked when I wanna test if I have improved or not so I know what rank I belong to but in s2 ranks are very mixed so I won't look down on anyone who are only "warrior" with 5000 win at quick match because maybe he is better than me. I judge the players by their skills and tactics they use instead of their "numbers" and ranks.
Btw I got also an accusation from a salty player(added me just to wish me nice things) at quick match that I play there to beat rookies . Its funny because my win/loss stat is a lot worse at quick match than at ranked because I keep rematching against better players. I don't lab characters in pratice mode I am playing unranked instead and try to find out things there .
Mate, as with any theory, problem here is not within your arguments - it's within base axioms of theory. You're presuming that everyone just want to go for offline tournaments while they are not.
Sometimes people just having fun, even with throwin those random hugely unsafe launchers. That's not a big deal - at least you have a chance to learn how to counter them. Or just do the same and have some couch-like gameplay withou any restrictions.
Meanwhile, in rank you face 9 out of 10 quitters just because they don't want to lose their ranks as well - and spending more time in the Training Purgatory than in match.
And regarding "meat of the game"... IDK how high your rank is, but here on Red ranks I'm mostly observing either full turtle or full spam.
I've grown tired of same excercise - open the turtle that has 80% less health than you do or just waste about 40 seconds of your life to wait for time expire. It's not as funny as you think, even in case of winning, at least for me personally.
So ranked has pretty much of downsides as well - as would any highly-competitive game would do.
It's up to you to descide what you like more, ofc. Just do not go for such blind blaming upon those who might just not share your hunger for ceompetition :) Again - they are just playing in quicks and do waaaaaay less harm than 2-buttons Noctis player or lag-switcher in ranked.
