Maintaining 50:50 Male and Female ratio in Tekken 8

Male characters are vastly over-represented in the game which isn't fair especially when we live in a modern society where equality is considered as a top priority.

There are currently 29 male human characters, 2 male robots, 2 male non-human creature/animal (Yoshimitsu and Kuma) and 1 transexual (Raven).

Meanwhile. there are only 14 female human characters, 1 female robot and 1 female animal so they're vastly under-represented.

There clearly needs to be some major overhaul for Tekken 8 if they want only want 51 characters in the roster.

Heihachi, Shaheen (does anyone even play him?), Ganryu, Marduk, one of King, Geese, Noctis, Negan, Fakhu and Leroy will have to go so that makes it 20.

All female characters should stay with an addition of Christie, Michelle, Jun, Miharu and extra 2 new ones. If they introduced Akuma in T7 then you might as well do the same in T8 with either adding Cammy or Chun Li from Street Fighter.

That makes it 20 male and 20 female human characters in the roster alongside with 6 non-humans and 1 transexual so that makes it 47. They can add extra DLC to meet the 51 mark or more as long as everything is equal.

Thoughts? Do you support the idea of having this kind of balance in the game? If not, please explain why so i don't get the wrong idea about you.

Just to be clear, I don't have any malicious intent creating this thread. Some of you know i'm a strong advocate of gender equality and I want to have some balance in the roster.

i also vote for 30 balanced characters > 40 with chars like akuma, leroy ,....
and i vote against 2d characters male & female.

I'd like to see a tekken game with no humans, only ponies, cats, and bunny rabbits.

The entire single player campaign should be filled with cute cat videos, imo.
(better content than recent tekken single players stories.)

Well, the difference is that you stated a fact, he states a made up thing, and in 2022, made up stuff has more validity than facts.

FFS can we please, for the love of everything that is logical and ration in this world, stop promoting inclusion for inclusion's sake.

How do so many people not understand that putting in characters for the single fact that the gender of that character is underrepresented in anything just leads to the creation boring and bland characters?

I do not understand what is so clear about this. WHY does there need to be a balanced roster of male to female characters?

If your answer has ANYTHING to do with "well X does not equal Y" then all you are going to do is fill the game up with bloat that it doesn't need with characters that aren't even that interesting.

Now if you could do something like, say bring back someone like Jun because she is a cool character and adds to the story then I would be all for it.

Listen I know that female representation is still low in most games but believe it or not females being more of the norm in gaming is still relatively new and won't be what you call normal for a few more years.

I guarantee you that there will be a point where there will be a lot more female representation of females as time passes but for the love of the flying spaghetti monster please just let it happen naturally. A lot more thought will be put into those characters if it happens that way.
