What can I do? he is always in the Plus, it is impossible to take steps to the side, all the throws give him a guaranteed follow up, and if I try to get up, then an endless combo. If I duck some high moves, I still can't hit because the recovery is too fast. also He kills me with 2 combos. What am i doing wrong?

Well the b@stard does a zero execution requirement launcher that hits grounded players and has four armored moves (not counting his rage arts). Ones a launcher, ones a spin attack/juggle extender with range, one that has acceptable range and can be used to whiff punish and one to pi$$ people off in Flamengo style. The hworang shown in the OPs video is nowhere near as annoying as the ones I often run into. However I think the point of the OP was that even bad/mediocre hworang players seem to be having some success wth +frame spamming.

I spent 10 minutes in practise mode with him and already discovered cheap stuff that works with minimum effort. I also use him in Treasure battle because i really dont need to think much about what im doing with him.

Damn. So Im even worse than those players who are carried by Hwoarang. Coz Im struggling to get out of yellow ranks. Lmfao.

Well no character are necessarily easy win in high-ranks or against good players. But hworang is definitely easy wins in the low ranks or players that dont come up with ways around his +frames spams and whiff baiting/armour moves setups.

Whiff baiting isnt actually gimmicks. Bcoz that's how u open up your opponent. After I played Hwo for few months, I realized his armor moves serve as safety net for his stances. He cant block while in flamingo, so if opponent tried to challenge his stance then armor moves will make him safe. His backlash is one of the best pc in the game, but has two weaknesses: slow and high. Mostly, mids are slow and highs are fast. But backlash is both slow and high albeit being plus on block (which makes sense, most highs are safe on block coz it can be duck punished). Hwo has also lots of plus frames due to his nature of playstyle. He doesn't have good panic moves. And since his playstyle revolves around pressure, he needs plus frames, otherwise, he wont be as aggressive as he was designed. And when u try Hwo online, u will realized how easily he is to get around with by decent players who understand fundamentals - even in low ranks.

Four armor moves but u cant chose one from four at your own free will, right? One coming from normal stance (LFF), two coming from LFS and RFS respectively, and the last one coming from RFF.

I think the best of them is the normal one. Coz it is a two hits mid natural combo. Backlash isnt that great, can be easily avoided if u are sharp. Sure it has great damage if connected but the risk is balanced. And finally, thunderbolts from both LFS and RFS does not deal great damage. Really try to play him in ranked if he is OP. Lmfao.

You will discover how hard to get solid with him. I can say Asuka is way easier to carry.

So whenever there are players who complain against Hwo I laughed and tell them to play him themselves.

Well gwo is one of few chars that actually get hit by dragunovs b213 snakeedges. That shows how he can carry really poor players just due to strenght of his char.

I gotta disagree with u there. Not being able to deal with Drag's b213 does not mean a player is a poor player. Match up knowledge =/= fundamental skills.

Bro, literally EVERYONE can deal with this apart from few exceptions that are usually leroys, hworangs, nocti, and kunis. Maybe i forgot soheone since i havent played lately.
