But no, he's very strong due to his damaging ability but he's not the best.
He has range, he has no fireballs and can't fly.
he has no good plus frames. he has no low risk hish reward launchers except cd1. he has no good lows imo, only good low is d4.
his moves are very linear. your only quick moves to deal with sidesteppers are df2 and d2, which are both mediocre (d4 tracks well too which is a high tier low imo). you are very weak to the opponent ducking bcs you dont have any strong mid launchers except hopkick or b4:1+2 stunner. very weak to ss right. so at a certain level people start ss low blocking you to the right, this kills alot of your options.
his strong points are good movement (backdash + wave) and whiff punishment(Dark Upper, shoulder, f2,1), and his quick mid pokes(df1, df4), and throws (which start getting broken often when you reach higher levels of play. thankfully im not there yet).
playing him feels like running around in a minefield. 1 mistake and its a wrap. wrong df1 timing = dead. not enough character knowledge = dead. you can cheese with throws but people start ducking that ♥♥♥♥, and then you are left with mediocre mids.
I wish the game was balanced around his strenght level. It feels like everyone is too strong and is able to do everything and have minimal weaknesses.
Josie, Hwoarang, Paul are quite strong and easy 50-50 characters, especially in lower ranks, tho if you search "50-50 machine" in the dictionary, you'll see a picture of Kazuya.
Nor is he hard to execute until higher ranks where people start to know to deal with your stuff simply because his pressure is so insane.
